What is Directory Submission?
There are certain list of sites that are like telephone directory in which the list of urls are stored in the form of category and sub categories, such sites are termed as
web directories.
To acquire a backlink we need to select the right category ---> Sub categories --> Sub Sub - Categories if possible and then submit the url by filling
the form shown. In the form, mention your keywords in the title, in description write 2-3 lines of unique information regarding your webpages having your keywords, when the details are
submitted the admin will review your listing if approved will give your webpage a strong niche backlink but the chances of approval are 10%.

Some directories allow only homepage to be submitted while others allow internal pages too, each page atleast 50 submissions are required, the list of directory sites can be repeated
for each page in your site if they allow internal page urls also to be submitted.
Apart from directory submissions one must also do classified ad submissions for a business or service oriented websites.

Your website must be added once in each of the classified site, some sites give you backlinks while each of them help you generate genuine leads and eventually business too
